Interactive 16:9 calculator
The calculation uses the geometry of a 16:9 rectangle. It describes the active image area, not the external housing, border or floor-rising mechanism.
Common UST sizes
| Diagonal | Width | Height |
|---|---|---|
| 84″ | 73.2″ / 186 cm | 41.2″ / 105 cm |
| 92″ | 80.2″ / 204 cm | 45.1″ / 115 cm |
| 100″ | 87.2″ / 221 cm | 49.0″ / 125 cm |
| 120″ | 104.6″ / 266 cm | 58.8″ / 149 cm |
| 130″ | 113.3″ / 288 cm | 63.7″ / 162 cm |
Why the case is the number to verify before purchase
A floor-rising screen includes hardware beyond the active picture. Exact housing dimensions can differ by model and generation. Use this calculator for image planning, then use the live product’s dimensional drawing to verify the case itself.
Brightness grows harder as size grows
Image area increases with the square of diagonal. Moving from 100 to 120 inches increases image area by about 44%, so projector brightness, room light and screen gain become more important at the larger size.
