PET refers to a polyester-family substrate used in many engineered screen constructions. The visible performance comes from the full layered surface—lenticular structures, absorbing layers, reflective layers and protective coatings—not from the plastic acronym alone.

- Published gain
- Viewing angle
- ALR/CLR performance claims
- Surface uniformity and tensioning system
- Whether the lower section is acoustically perforated
- How the material behaves when repeatedly rolled
Why floor-rising changes the material requirement
A fixed surface only has to remain flat once installed. A floor-rising surface has to roll, unroll and return to a flat viewing plane repeatedly. The mechanical system and side tension therefore become part of image quality, especially with the steep light path of UST projectors.
PET Crystal Classic context
NothingProjector lists the Classic with PET Crystal Pro material, 0.85 gain and 85% ALR. Treat those as a combined positioning statement rather than assuming the words “PET Crystal” predict performance by themselves.
